Ringkasan:
Paul and Silas were sharing Gospel in Phillipi. A lot of people were willing to hear the word of God, but there were some people that are not happy as well. They did not like to hear the Gospel. They did not like to see that people believe in the Lord Jesus and they did not like to see the power of Gospel. They think that Paul and Silas are making trouble.
They figure out a way to put Paul and Silas into prison. They tortured them, beaten them with rod and put them in prison. They told the jailer to put them into the most inner part of the prison. The jailer chained Paul and Silas and put their feet down between larger blocks of wood.
In the prison, Paul and Silas praised God. They sing songs and praise Him and pray. Other prisoners listen to what they are saying
Suddenly a violent earthquake happened. The foundation of the prison was shaken. The doors were open. The chain broke loose and fell away from the prisoner.
When the jailer woke up and saw that all the doors were open, he taught all the prisoners have escaped. He become worried and he grabbed his sword and wanted to kill himself. He was afraid of Roman government.
Paul stopped the jailer from killing himself and told him that none of them have left the prison. The jailer was so surprised and later on he bow down in front of Paul and Silas and asked what he need to do to be saved. Paul and Silas shared Gospel with him and he straight away believe in Jesus. He brought Paul and Silas to his home, fed them and gave them clothes. Paul and Silas share Gospel with the jailer’s family and they all believe in Jesus as well. Such a joy.
We learn that sharing Gospel is not an easy task but God will strengthen all His children to do so. It is the work of Holy Spirit that enable a person to realise that he is a sinner and he need Saviour to save him from sin. We may not face such a big problem as Paul and Silas. We should keep sharing His Gospel faithfully.
