Ringkasan:
Jacob left Beersheba and went to Haran. When the sun had gone down he stopped for the night. And Jacob took a stone and put it under his head for a pillow. Something amazing happened. Jacob began to have a dream. He dreamed of a ladder reaching from the ground all the way up into heaven! And on that long ladder he saw angels going up and down.
God stood above the ladder and told Jacob that He is the God of Abraham and of Isaac. God made promises to Jacob, God said;
1. Jacob and his children would someday own the land that he was sleeping on.
2. Jacob’s seed will be like the dust of the Earth, Jacob will have many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
3. God would be with Jacob wherever he goes and will protect him.
Lesson summary:
In the bible, God revealed himself through people in his plan, such as Jacob. Jacob did not always trust and obey God, but God chose him and blessed him. God guided and protected Jacob, God wanted him to be good. From Jacob’s family, God would send the promised Savior to bring blessing and salvation to the world, Jesus Christ.
