Today we will learn about the events surrounding the first Easter, when Jesus Christ first resurrected from the dead, just as he had promised.
Jesus died on the Cross for our sin, so that we could be forgiven by God and enter God’s kingdom. This was the very reason why Jesus incarnated to be a human.
But the death of Christ was not the end. He resurrected from the dead on the third day, because he has victory over sin and death!
The resurrection proved that Jesus is the Son of God, as he claimed to be. The resurrection was proof that He had accomplished what he had promised. The sacrificial death that Jesus died on the Cross was sufficient, and that our sins can be forgiven.
The resurrection was proof that Jesus is our living God, he had accomplished what he had promised, and will continue to be faithful to all the promises that he had made.
The resurrection shows that death was unable to hold Jesus, death was defeated once and for all.
