Zaccheus is leader of tax collector. He didnt get any salary, but he take whats not belong to him. His job require him to take money for Romans tax but he take much more than whats required. Its like stealing.
We dont like it if our thing get stolen. When Jesus passed the tree, He looked up and called Zaccheus by his name. Jesus called all Christian by names in each of our heart to obey him. Zaccheus responded after his meeting with Jesus by repentence and action, and Jesus pardon him and his family. He knows that Jesus is more precious than possesion. He stop taking whats not belong to him. In Luke 18, the rich young man ask Jesus on how to enter the Kingdom of God, but his response is different than Zaccheus as he cant let go of his worldly possesion. May we find that Jesus worth much more than anything in this world and always follow Him.
